OUR BACKGROUND

The LAEFC SERVE team was born out of our annual community outreach mission event known as J-ROCK. Individuals who served as part of this team quickly realized that there were extensive needs that could be met in our immediate community and surrounding areas, while knowing, living, and sharing the heart of Jesus.

OUR MISSION

Our mission statement encapsulates the very essence of our team.  We are a group of “Volunteers sharing the love of Christ by meeting needs that cannot otherwise be accomplished due to financial or circumstantial constraints.”  The SERVE Team is comprised of both skilled and non-skilled laborers working together to help with painting, small repairs, clean up, yard work, and the like.

ON-CALL TEAM

Because needs are year-round, our ministry is year-round as well!  The LAEFC SERVE On-Call team is comprised of volunteers who are part of an email chain and they respond to needs as they arise throughout the calendar year, as they are able.  Would you consider being a part of our On-Call ministry initiative?  If so, please feel free to contact us below.

J-ROCK

J-Rock is an annual community outreach mission weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun) and is ideal for volunteers of every ability level and in all stages of life, including families.  During J-Rock, we learn to love on “Our Jerusalem” by getting involved in service initiatives not only in Jonestown, but in the surrounding areas.  We often help at local parks, playgrounds, our church grounds, and those individuals in need.  Our weekend cumulates with a community carnival event and outdoor worship service.  Consider joining us this year!
